People stop driving to stare at a bright show that unfolds under the Hwy 281 overpass at Grayson Street on Monday nights. The glow is caused by Brothers of the Flame, a group of San Antonio fire dancers who say they reach a meditative and spiritual state by spinning fire around their bodies.

Neighbors mingled with each other and talked with police officers and firemen at a National Night Out event in West San Antonio. The event is meant to boost awareness of crime prevention measures.

After taking care of announcements and business items, members of the local chapter of the International Society of Magicians entertained each other by performing magic tricks all night.
