The path to a college degree

February 10th, 2008  |  Published in Slideshows

Studies show affluent students more likely to earn degree (Story by Melissa Ludwig/Express-News). “As the American economy teeters on the cusp of a recession, the keys to a comfortable, middle-class life increasingly hang on one peg — a bachelor’s degree … For the next few months until the end of the semester, the San Antonio Express-News will follow three local students as they make their way through college. We hope that by putting a face on the statistics, the realities of what it means to earn a college degree — and the hurdles that can make it so difficult for so many — become clear.”

I created three photo slideshows to complement the story. Later, when the individual stories come out, I’ll produce videos for each student.
