Elise Goen story by Angela Grant

We’ve followed Elise Goen, a sophomore at Trinity University, as she makes her way through college this year. This video complements a story by Express-News reporter Melissa Ludwig.

As an Anglo woman, studies show Elise is far more likely to earn a bachelor’s degree than her African American and Hispanic peers, especially men.

According to the U.S. Education Department, 37 percent of Anglo women aged 25 to 29 hold a bachelor’s degree, compared with 22 percent of black women and 15 percent of black men.

I really like this one. Nice job. I like how you are showing so much about her and she is just talking over the video - and it works. I like too how you bring her in later and see her talking.
