Water Fun Guide: Natural water spots surrounding San Antonio

Water Fun Guide

This interactive, multimedia Water Fun Guide shows people natural water spots within a one-hour drive of San Antonio. It is driven by an online database, which allows people to search the rivers, lakes and swimming holes for places to go swimming, kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing, picnicking and more.

This guide was my idea, and I enlisted the help of many talented journalists at the Express-News to help. I shot videos for three of the spots, did the reporting and writing for 15 spots, collected file photos and created picture slideshows for nine spots, entered data into the database for the entire guide, and helped to coordinate the work of others who helped with the guide.

We hope to use it as a prototype to build more guides to help the people of San Antonio find fun things to do in our community.

PLEASE NOTE:

mySA.com underwent a major redesign in the middle of July 2008. Unfortunately, some of my work did not carry over to the new system. If you find a broken link on this site, please contact me ASAP so I can get it fixed. Thank you!
