I am a multimedia journalist who primarily shoots and edits video for the Web. I also collect and edit audio to produce photo slideshows and create multimedia packages using Adobe Flash. I enjoy using various online tools to create interactive graphics such as maps and quizzes.

I am also the publisher of News Videographer, a web site that provides useful services for journalists who produce online news video. I give honest critiques of readers’ work, provide training tips and advice, post news about Internet video, and foster discussions about issues in this new storytelling frontier. News Videographer has continued growing since I created it in April 2007, and now the site has around 600 subscribers. I have also recruited seven other contributors, and the list will continue growing.

I have provided video training at several journalism conferences and workshops this year. To prepare for these events, I created programs and curriculum to teach journalists how to shoot and edit video. I sincerely enjoy teaching and hope I will be able to use these training materials again in the future.
