These are the videos that my students produced during the two-day Camp VJ beginners workshop in Chicago. I’m really proud of them.
There’s obviously some technical imperfections, which are expected with anyone’s first videos. But notice the use of wide, medium and tight shots and the use of sequences. They all used natural sound too.

Teaching video editing at CICM workshop

I traveled to Nashville March 6-9 to teach video editing at the CICM Digital Media Workshop.
I gave a lecture about how to tell stories with video and I gave tips about how to edit properly.
I taught the students how to use iMovie to edit video that they had shot the day before.
