A three-alarm fire Monday afternoon at the Atlas Pallet Company in downtown San Antonio sent plumes of black smoke hundreds of feet into the air, drawing onlookers who heard multiple loud explosions as propane tanks ignited.

First day of a new language

Some kindergarteners at Regency Place Elementary School couldn’t understand much on the first day of class. The children - half Spanish speakers, half English - are in a recently expanded dual language program that will make them bilingual.
