Team Gecko is a kid’s triathalon team in San Antonio. To the director’s surprise and pleasure, the team has many more girls than boys this year.

Logan Cunningham, a junior at Smithson Valley High School, on March 13 broke the record for pole vaulting in the San Antonio area. He jumped 16 feet 4 inches, one inch higher than the previous record set in 2002 by a Churchill High School student.

The Prim Reapers took on The Missyfits on Feb. 10, the first bout of the 2008 season of the Alamo City Rollergirls. The Prims won 205 to 24.

Tension hung in the air like an electric charge at the championship bout of the Alamo City Rollergirls. The Dragon Divas won the 2007 title when they beat The Missyfits 102 to 93. The action will resume again next spring.
